Into Brandon follow one way system (left, right, left) to traffic lights.
Go straight over and head out of town. Turn right into Wangford Road.
At T-junction turn right (signposted Hockwold/Feltwell).
Follow road over railway crossing and hump back bridge. Turn left immediately past bungalow on left, signpost Cowles Drove. Take second gate on right.
Hockwold stud is situated on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk and is surrounded by miles of superb hacking in the beautiful Thetford
forest.
Showjumper Clare Ladell who has many years experience runs the stud. As a
showjumper she competed ponies at the Horse of the Year Show, Hickstead and Spain with the England
Team.
She progressed onto horses at the age of 15 and spent time in Switzerland being trained by Leslie NcNaught and Marcus
Mändli. She also spent time with Steven
Hadley and rode for Rob Hoekstra and Alison
Bradley.
At 18 she came second at the Horse of the Year Show at
Wembley and competed on the Europe circuit France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain as well as the UK.
She has produced Grade C International to Grade A
horse's and now passes her experience to riders wishing
to improve their riding and jumping
skills.
Hockwold has excellent facilities, modern stabling, indoor and outdoor ménage and of course excellent
hacking.
Ten (10) quality stallions standing at stud and good facilities exist for those wishing to have their mares covered. Four new foaling boxes with CCTV exist for those who wish the stud to look after the mare when
foaling.
There are always horses for sale form Novice to Grade B and good
trial facilities.
You are welcome to visit and view the facilities and
discuss with Claire your requirements, whether it be
riding lessons, schooling, breaking horses or having your
mare covered.
